THE CAUSE

This April Daniel Leverink will be riding from Geelong to Port Adelaide Football Club, some 870 kilometers, in an effort to raise funds for those in need. Daniel has chosen to support the tiny battlers in the neonatal ward at the Flinders medical Centre, who are currently in need of a state of the art echocardiography system (pictured right) with 3D technologies. The Flinders Medical Centre Foundation is fundraising for this piece of machinery which will provide 24 hour monotoring for our most vulnerable South Australians.

Many of the problems affecting premature babies are associated with abnormalities of the heart and circulation. The echocardography system will allow these fragile babies to be immediately examined, providing the best outcomes for their healthy development.

At a cost of $226,975 the echocardiography system is a big target but one which many, including Daniel, are working to reach. We ask you to donate generously to support Daniel in his fundraising efforts and his desire to help our youngets South Australians. * Please note Daniel is self funding his ride so all donations can go towards the echocardiography machine.

MESSAGE FROM DEB PALMER - EVENTS MANAGER

We have a really busy year ahead here at work but there is one person in particular that I wanted to tell you about. His name is Daniel Leverink. I think I'm going to vote Daniel as the all round nice guy for the year! In 2008 we were introduced to Daniel and his company ETM Furnishings (ETM which stands for Exclusive Tailor Made). ETM mainly work in the corporate world on large scale projects like refits to Parliament House, City Holden, Southern Ocean Lodge on KI and the like, but they also have an impressive list of personal clients. His company chose to support our Foundation at last year's Pink Ribbon Ball with a donation to the Main Auction. In 2009 Daniel has extended his generosity beyond the walls of his business. Daniel is now a member of our Pink Ribbon Ball committee, helping us shape this year's 20th anniversary event but it doesn't stop there. He is also taking on a personal challenge to raise funds for a vital piece of equipment, which the Neonatal Ward (premature babies) requires here at the hospital. It is an echocardiography machine that will provide 24 hour monitoring for our most vulnerable South Australians (costs $226,975). Many of the problems affecting premature babies are associated with abnormalities of the heart and circulation. This system will allow these fragile babies to be immediately examined, providing the best outcomes for their healthy development.
Daniel is getting on his bike from the 19th to 24th of April and will be riding from Geelong in VIC to AAMI Stadium in SA. That's some 870 kms!
I hope that you can help Daniel raise as much money as possible towards this cause. Please donate if you can. If you could also forward this info onto your friends, family and colleagues it would be appreciated. Collectively let's see how much we can help Daniel raise!"

Thanks to you all!
